Hitcents was founded in 1999 by two entrepreneurial twin brothers, Chris and Clinton Mills. In a few short years the business moved from the basement of their parents' house to a state-of-the-art office in Western Kentucky University's Center for Research and Development. In 2002 Hitcents was acquired by Houchens Industries, the world's largest ESOP, and in 2007 Hitcents was announced as the 191st fastest growing small business in the United States by Inc. magazine.
Since its inception Hitcents has produced several nationally recognized websites. An enormous effort has been exerted to build quality products that are consistently more innovative than the products they replace. Hitcents currently operates five separate divisions: EyeOn Home Automation, Utopia Self Checkout, VPN Network Services, Web Development, and Omniprise ERP.
